The RNC
Well it’s been a while since I’ve posted so I decided to do so this morning. As I’ve posted before, I’ve been following the political scene quite closely this year. The campaigns haven’t went my way - meaning my first choice Gov. Mitt Romney didn’t win the Republican nomination and most recently, wasn’t chosen as the Republican VP. No one has worked harder for John McCain than he has but he was snubbed big time. But I’m not going to dwell on that too much. Yes I’m disappointed but I’m pretty excited about who McCain DID choose. Her name is Sarah Palin, the current governor of Alaska. I think she brings a lot of balance and reform to this ticket and I think it’s going to be great. She has most all the main values that I hold dear - namely she is pro-life, pro-family, pro drilling HERE and NOW; she’s for smaller government and is for ending the war in an appropriate manner and not until we can taste victory!
I’ve been so appalled at the far left smears of Gov. Palin. Some things are just off limits. They are going too far. It’s frustrating to me as a very Conservative Republican to see how the Main Stream Media is largely Liberals and Democrats. News is supposed to be news. News is supposed to be first and foremost TRUE, but also FAIR and BALANCED! We see little of that nowadays. Take my parents for instance.. they live in a small income and can’t afford cable tv so all that they are able to see are the major networks ABC, NBC and CBS…. all of which are very liberal and very left-leaning and that is the news they cover. You rarely see the good things on the Conservative side. And they call themselves journalists?!?! *rolls eyes*
Take the covers of US magazine this week and recently. Is this fair? Is this balanced? Check out Michelle Malkin’s post on this same issue and there you can see the two covers I’m speaking about. For Barack it’s another love-fest and for Sarah Palin, the headline reads “Babies, Lies & Scandal”. WHAT? What is up with that? They have crossed a line in my opinion and I hope and pray that this mud-slinging comes back to bite the Democrats in the butt!! I hate this stuff! It’s so wrong!!
And!!! Just this morning on FOX news, Megyn Kelly said that someone has released Sarah Palin’s Social security number. That again is going too far. Yeah Barack Obama canĀ ”denounce” all this stuff all he wants… the damage has already been done.
Looking forward to the convention this evening. I know I am going to be a HUGE couch potato, political junkie LOL Great speakers in store for tonight all of whom I plan on listening to. I’m most excited about Mitt Romney of course but also Mayor Giulliani and VP Nominee Sarah Palin. Should be pretty exciting. Mike Huckabee is supposed to speak as well and well… he’s not my favorite for many reasons, but I will listen. Mitt is a great speaker and in case you haven’t noticed yet, I am a huge fan of his LOL He was so favored amongst the Republican delegates and SHOULD be the VP nominee right now but things don’t always go as they should or as we’d like and he is such a class act that he AGAIN puts his Country and the Republican party before himself, and keeps on a campaigning for John McCain!! What a great man! I’m so impressed with him.
Now for a very few STARK DIFFERENCES between John McCain and Senator Obama:
1. Democrats want to raise your taxes.
Republicans want to cut your taxes and give you back your hard earned money.
2. Democrats want to pull out of Iraq before the job is finished.
Republicans want to win in Iraq and ensure terrorists do not gain a stronghold in this part of the world. 3. Democrats want to grant Amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.
Republicans want to secure our border.4. Democrats have stood in the way of dealing with the high cost of fuel. They refused to vote on drilling for more American oil - and took a vacation without voting on a comprehensive energy solution.
Republicans stayed on the job and continue to fight for more American oil and lower energy costs.

I’m so confused about this whole election thing…I don’t even know if I’m going to vote, as I don’t like either candidate. It’s not a good year for elections, that’s for sure!
Hope you have a great day!
Lotsa hugs!

I have to agree with the comment above
Stephythe whole presidential race seems more like a popularity
contest then an election this year.

I won’t say anything
lol just don’t hold it against me. You know I’m voting for Obama. I’ve heard he only wants to raise taxes on people making more than $250,000 a year, I don’t come close to that. LOL
Cindyhave a great day
